As promised: our second use for the trusty clothespin – a boutonniere! This fun twist on the traditional boutonniere can easily be crafted for all of your groomsmen. We chose to go green for this one and picked flowers straight from our gardens but you can just as easily get flowers from your local florist. Simply attach the flowers to the top section of the clothespin with a bit of electrical tape and then wrap it in decorative ribbon to match your color palette and end with a nice bow. There are a ton of additions you can make to this, so again, get crafty! That’s the fun in a DIY project. Think about adding something special to the groom’s so he stands out, or perhaps use a different color ribbon for his. These can be made a day in advance but remember to store in the refrigerator to keep them fresh. Then, simply clip the clothespin on the lapel of your gentlemen and TA-DA! Your very own clothespin boutonniere. We’ll post our third and final use tomorrow so stay tuned. We can’t wait to share it with you!
A special thanks to our handsome groom, Ryan Milner. You were a treat to work with!
